America mourns September 11 dead with somber ceremonies

Yesterday, was a day of great mourning for everyone in the United States of America. It was the 10th anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks. Citizens mourned at the crash site in New York, the Pentagon, Pennsylvania, and all across our nation. Obama personally visited all three sites at which ceremonies were held, serving as a funeral for many, because most bodies were not found under the rubble. In New York, the families of the deceased presented the names of those who they lost when the towers fell. Nearly 3,000 names were engraved into stone surrounding giant waterfalls that filled the gaps of the two buildings. It was a sorrowful moment, seeing all the friends and families laying flowers and rubbing the names of the victims. Many across the world joined in America's mourning; even Pope Benedict prayed for all those who perished and told all to "reject violence".
